I create jewelry and figurative ceramics inspired by childhood, sentimentality, and femininity. My process combines metalwork, cloisonné, and champlevé enameling techniques, along with hand-building ceramic methods. Each piece is meticulously crafted to embody playfulness while retaining intricate detail, brought to life with precious metals, enamel, semi-precious stones, earthenware, and vibrant glazes.
Memory and the natural world are central to my practice. I draw inspiration from artists such as Frida Kahlo, Aurélie Guillaume, Sindie Jimenez, and Genesis Belanger, artists who explore themes of nature, mortality, humor, and the female perspective. Similarly, I incorporate personal narratives, surrealist elements, and memento mori imagery into my work.
At its core, my art reflects the tension between childhood joy and the complexities of aging, particularly as a woman. While colorful, vibrant, and playful on the surface, my pieces often carry an undercurrent of unease, expressing both nostalgia and the passage of time.
